Attorney Local SEO Case Study – From 1% to 19% Page 1 Rankings on Google
In this video, Greg from TM Blast breaks down a real-world Attorney Local SEO case study in Colorado, showing how strategic local optimizations can dramatically improve Google Maps visibility, rankings, and inbound calls for law firms. I walk through exactly what was done, what changed, and why the results improved, including how to diagnose local ranking weaknesses using grid-based geo-tracking and how small, targeted adjustments can unlock major visibility gains. This case study is especially helpful for: Attorneys and law firms struggling to rank in Google Maps Local business owners who want more calls (not just traffic) SEO professionals looking for a repeatable local SEO frameworkWhat Was Done
Local Falcon Scans
Ran the initial heat map scan for their business and saw the under 2% page 1 ranking number on Google search.
Local Falcon Competitor Review
Reviewed the top competitors in the area and looked for gaps to overtake them. Gaps included categories, secondary categories, reviews, products, and more
Website Changes
Had my client make a series of changes to the website to rank better on Google. Those changes included the title tag, description, H1 tag, image names, internal links, and more
Embed the Map
I instructed my client to embed their Google Business Profile map in their footer / get on third-party sites to help boost their NAP
Ran it All Again in December
Based on the new scans in December, I identified new competitors, changes needed on the website, and I reviewed the map using ChatGPT / Copilot to look for more dots to flip
Respond to Reviews
My client was reluctant to respond to old reviews. I encouraged them to respond, and to use keyword rich responses, which has helped improve their rankings
Final Thoughts
Overall, I still recommend clients hire me on a monthly retainer. Having me on a monthly retainer allows me to run scans on a weekly basis for several keywords, and I’m making on-going changes on their behalf. Plus, I can spot any new competitors or listings that are taking share away from my client. Still, in a handful of hours, I was able to improve the rankings for my client, and they should continue to generate new leads from these rankings.
