Google Local Service Ads Management
Google Local Service Ads now appear at the very top of desktop, tablet, and mobile search results for local-intent keywords. Because they sit above the map pack and website listings, they take visibility and leads away from those results. For businesses that provide local services, being on this platform is critical. Unlike Google Ads or Bing Ads, Local Service Ads operate on a pay-per-lead model, meaning you only pay when a qualified lead contacts your business.
Greg Kristan at TM Blast provides ongoing management of Google Local Service Ads accounts. Real results come from continuous optimization, not a set-and-forget budget. Having Google LSA part of your marketing strategy is an excellent way to reach the right potential customers.
This service is offered as an add-on to my Local SEO Service plan. Because not every business qualifies or is eligible for Local Service Ads, I only charge clients who are eligible or interested in using the platform to generate more high-quality leads.
What is in Google Local Service Ads Service?
The Google LSA management is an add-on service to the Local SEO Service
- I proactively manage your business verification, including insurance, background checks, and other required information, to ensure your account stays active (Google Guaranteed Badge) and does not go offline.
- Create a monthly dashboard that tracks ad spend, cost per lead, and charges
- Review your services to ensure we are not too broad and are targeting leads with strong revenue potential.
- Suggest new categories to add to reach qualified customers
- Audit service areas to ensure we are maximizing lead quality. High-performing areas are prioritized, while low-quality areas are restricted to reduce wasted spend.
- Monitor leads weekly and dispute any invalid or unqualified leads.
- Add photos to the account on a regular basis
- Continue optimizing your Google Business Profile and leverage data from both platforms to generate more leads.
- And more!
Google Local Services Ads Are at The Top of Local Results
In this video, Greg Kristan from TM Blast breaks down how Google Local Services Ads appear at the very top of local search results and why they are becoming impossible for service-based businesses to ignore. You’ll learn how Local Services Ads sit above traditional Google Maps rankings and organic results, how they differ from Google Business Profile visibility, and why more calls and leads are shifting toward LSAs. Greg also explains how LSAs connect directly to your Google Business Profile, how lead quality is measured, and what businesses should be watching closely as Google continues to push this ad format. If you are a locksmith, HVAC company, plumber, electrician, concrete contractor, or any other local service business, this video will help you understand where LSAs fit into your overall local SEO and lead generation strategy. Topics covered in this video: • Where Google Local Services Ads appear in search results • How LSAs differ from Google Maps and organic rankings • Why LSAs are driving more calls and messages year over year • How Google determines qualified vs non-qualified leads • What business owners should track when running LSAsGoogle Local Service Ads Matter
On desktop, local-intent searches typically show two sponsored listings at the top of the page, while mobile often shows three. For example, a search like “HVAC Albany NY” will trigger these ads above the map pack and organic results. If your HVAC business relies only on the map pack and your website for leads, you are missing opportunities by not bidding for top-of-page visibility.
These ads differ from Google Ads and Bing Ads in several important ways. With Local Service Ads, you are charged only for qualified leads, such as phone calls that last at least one minute. Call quality also matters—brief or unqualified calls, like someone quickly asking about pricing and hanging up, should not be charged. If your account is billed for these types of calls, I flag and dispute them with Google to help recover costs and protect your ad spend.
A Connection to the Google Business Profile Strategy
I analyze heat maps using ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to identify high-population areas with the greatest lead potential. Connecting your Google Local Service Ads with your Google Business Profile ensures we prioritize the most valuable service areas for your business.
Another way these platforms work together is through categories, services, and reviews. Aligning your Google Business Profile and Google Local Service Ads accounts is key to strong performance. For example, a concrete contractor should not target a broad “contractor” category, which can attract low-value leads like TV mounting or minor repairs. These calls waste ad spend and can hurt performance, reducing visibility for higher-value services such as concrete patio installation
Why Is this an Add on Service?
Not every industry qualifies for Google Local Service Ads. For example, TM Blast, as an SEO agency, is not eligible because it does not provide a direct, in-person local service like a locksmith or plumber.
Because of this, I offer Local Service Ads management as an optional add-on. For clients who qualify and already have an account, I can manage it for an additional $300. Since I’m already optimizing your website, Google Maps, Bing Maps, and Apple Maps profiles, this integrates seamlessly to help increase lead volume.
I do not offer this as a one-off management service. If you would like your account reviewed, it would fall under my Hourly Local SEO Review. During this review, I spend a set number of hours analyzing your leads, profile, service areas, and overall setup, then provide a clear list of actionable recommendations for you to implement.
