Local SEO is essential for any business that wants to reach nearby customers searching for its services online. No matter the city or region, winning visibility within a few miles of your business can drive high-intent leads from Google, Bing, and Apple map results. That said, local markets are competitive, with many businesses fighting for the same visibility.

What is in the Monthly Local SEO Service?
Below is the Local SEO strategy I focus on to improve the visibility for companies in the New York City area.
- Analyze first-party data from your Google Business Profile, Bing Maps, Apple Maps, and website to get a clear picture of how your business is performing today.
- Use Local Falcon heat map scans in Google Search to measure primary and secondary keyword performance. The baseline SoLV score helps pinpoint ranking gaps and growth opportunities.
- Review competitors in Google Maps search and flag any listings that violate Google’s quality guidelines and negatively impact your rankings. Unfortunately, I’ve come across lots of spam that impacts my clients directly, so I have to keep up on this via a weekly scan.
- Optimize your Google Business Profile using a data-driven research plan. This includes identifying competitor advantages, such as secondary categories you don’t currently use, and applying them to your account where appropriate.
- I use ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to analyze heat map scans and prioritize ranking opportunities in higher-population areas, where improvements have the greatest impact on clicks, impressions, directions, and calls.
- Ensure Bing Maps stays current with weekly syncs while manually updating and optimizing Apple Business Connect.
- Optimize your website with targeted on-page SEO updates, including schema markup enhancements, title tag optimization, new page development, and more.
- Finding relevant directories (backlinks) for your company to get listed on
- And more!
Local SEO Expert – Local SEO Service Explained
In this video, I walk through a real #localseostrategy case study for a locksmith in Utah targeting the highly competitive keyword “locksmith Salt Lake City.” When we started, this business was only appearing on Page 1 of Google about 7% of the time across a local map grid. After refining the strategy and making data-driven adjustments, we increased that visibility to 28%, resulting in a 300% gain in Page 1 presence. This matters because Google only shows the top three local listings for their search results. If your business is not consistently visible in those top positions, you are likely missing out on phone calls, website clicks, and bookings. Using Local Falcon heat map scans, I explain how Share of Local Voice works and why being buried behind dozens or even hundreds of competitors leads businesses to overspend on ads or other marketing channels.Google My Business Optimization / Heat Map Scan
I’ll optimize your Google Business Profile, which is the primary local SEO strategy I use for every client. In your heat map scans, green dots labeled 1–3 represent page-1 rankings in Google’s map pack, and that’s exactly what I focus on flipping for your account.
By improving your Google Business Profile and supporting local signals, the goal is to turn more yellow, orange, and red areas into green page-1 positions, increasing your visibility around your service area and helping generate more calls, direction requests, and qualified leads from non-branded local searches.
For example, if you are a lawyer specializing in personal injury, that would be a primary keyword I focus on improving in the local map results. Ranking in the map pack puts your business in front of high-intent searchers and allows potential clients to call you directly from Google, making phone calls a key KPI for driving more qualified leads and new clients each month.
AI Local SEO Strategy Included
I take Local Falcon heat map scans and use AI tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot to analyze the individual ranking dots in the context of population density and real-world opportunity. Not all green dots are created equal.
For example, when working with a locksmith in Colorado, one area of the map may represent 40,000–60,000 people, while another section might only represent 5,000 residents. Flipping four low-population dots can look positive in a report, but it may only represent access to around 20,000 people total.
In contrast, prioritizing improvements in higher-population areas is where the true opportunity lies, as those gains are far more likely to result in more phone calls, website clicks, direction requests, search visibility, and overall lead volume. This approach ensures Local SEO efforts are focused on impact, not vanity metrics.
Bing Place for Business
Bing can be more challenging to quantify from a Local SEO impact and attribution standpoint, but it still plays an important supporting role in local visibility. Because of that, I make sure any optimizations completed within your Google Business Profile are fully synced into Bing Places, while also applying Bing-specific enhancements that do not automatically carry over from Google.
This includes adding categories unique to Bing, refining and expanding business descriptions, uploading photos, building out service listings, and applying other platform-specific optimizations. The goal is to ensure your business is accurately represented and fully optimized across Bing’s local ecosystem, even when direct performance attribution is less clear than Google.
Apple Business Connect
Traditional Website SEO
I make ongoing, hands-on improvements to your website as part of your Local SEO strategy. This includes writing new content, improving and updating existing pages, fixing technical SEO issues, adding and refining schema markup, optimizing title tags and meta data, improving internal linking, and making other on-site enhancements that support stronger local and organic visibility.
In addition to on-site SEO improvements, I make sure proper tracking is in place on your website so we can clearly understand performance and results. This includes confirming analytics and conversion tracking are set up correctly to measure website sessions, form submissions, and phone calls, and to understand how many visits it typically takes before someone becomes a lead or customer. Simply increasing traffic is not the goal on its own. The real objective is to increase qualified traffic, so that if your conversion rate remains consistent with historical performance, more visits directly translate into more calls, form fills, and purchases. This data-driven approach allows us to make smarter decisions and scale what is already working.
